How Optical Train calculates your result

Check spacing, thread handoffs, sensor coverage, image scale, and field of view before ordering another adapter.

Start with evidence, not a score

Enter the exact focal length, reducer factor, sensor dimensions, and published sensor working distance for your equipment. List the optical train in physical order, including every spacer and the camera sensor flange distance. Match thread pitch and gender, not just nominal diameter.

Read the assumptions

Compare summed mechanical distance with the target, apply any documented filter correction once, and report field of view and angular sampling separately. Spacing and nominal thread agreement do not guarantee physical clearance, engagement depth, sensor illumination, or optical quality. Verify each manufacturer reference.

Use a reproducible workflow

Enter your own measurements or import records using the published CSV schema. Save a local scenario before making a change, compare the result, and export a copy with the assumptions intact. Example inputs are not a verified catalog or a live data feed. The source references explain the underlying terminology; they do not independently verify information you enter.
